Devil's Mountain

For the month of August there were so many declared legal holiday, giving it a way to have long weekends and for me I did take advantage for it to climb a mountains firstly Mt. Sembrano together with the BP led by Sir Ivan and for the second time I was invited by Ma'am Miriam, I met her when I climbed Mt. Manabu. The first plan was to have  a traverse at Mt. Makiling (Maktrav) but because of frequent rain and to avoid leeches the plan wasn't executed, so rather than doing that, we planned to climbed Mt. Tapulao in Zambales but like the first plan we weren't able to again to climb Mt.Tapulao because we came across the news that there will be a typhoon in North Luzon. Time was running out so we thought we could just climb Mt. Cristobal but because of the the heavy rain it was even close to cancellation but to reduce time waste in case we couldn't climb Mt. Cristobal we planned just to have a side trip at San Pablo, Laguna but gladly the weather was in our favor so the Mt. Cristobal plan was put into action. When they told me Mt. Cristobal different thougts filled my mind because of different spooky stories I heard from that mountain. I even researched at the internet to feed my curiosity what that mountain is all about and found out a different reaction pertaining to that said mountain, I said to my self that "Bahala na" and just keep the faith and God will guide us, and about the trail part that was kinda hard but there's a ribbon to guide you from the middle of the trail to the campsite, It took us 4hrs to reached the summit rest and photo ops included.

We met at the LRT Buendia by JAM via Lucena Bound

We rented a jeep for only 700pesos going to Dolores

Crater at Mt. Cristobal

When we reached the crater we felt the joyous because from the itinerary we got from Pinoymountaineer it would only take us only 30 minutes before we reach the summit. At the campsite we saw some mountaineers and they taught us how to get to the summit because the fork confused us although there is a ribbon. when we reached the summit I am once again frustrated not able to see the view I was saddened because the view was covered with fog.1500H when we descended were almost near at the registration area when Ma'am Miriam suddenly screamed and rolled over almost at the "Bangin"  good thing Sir Sam was there. thanks God she's safe and good thing is she was able to hold from one from the roots of plants and she only had minor wounds that nothing to be worried about. Around 1630H when we reached the registration area and had our bath.

In spite of the not so good things that happened, you made it all safe back at the mountain's foot--a mark of true adventurer.

Mt. Cristobal is quite a wonder for me because of its array of flora. The most notable of which is the plant that, up to now, is unidentified--I think.

Anyway, more mountains to conquer, bro.
