My first solo ride in Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes (San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan)

I immediately purchased my first bike after the lockdown was lifted in Metro Manila.  One of the reason why I purchased it is because it is more convenient, eco friendly and more safe during this time of pandemic. We all know that the traveling via public transport like jeepneys or bus is still not safe and to avoid the spread of the virus.  For a long months I stayed at home without any activities, I felt bored and stressed, and for a person like me who is always into  outdoor activities like hiking I am really looking for a place and something to do where I can unwind and relive my stress. Fortunately, my friends said that there's no longer a checkpoint in the borders of Quezon City and San Jose Bulacan, so I decided right away one weekend to visit the Grotto in San Jose Del Monte Bulacan.

I already visited this place in 2013, the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine is a well-known landmark in the province of Bulacan.  This is a replica of the Lourdes Grotto in France, it also features a mock hill Calvary where life-size statues depict the passion and death of Jesus Christ. This grotto attracts big crowds most especially during the Lenten season.

When already tired and exhausted, take five! :)

This is the place where most hikers meet-up before they ride a jeep going to Mt. Balagbag. Nostalgic!

Unluckily, the church was close due to pandemic.

I'm still happy though because I was able to burn some calories and able to go out even for a while. Now, back to Daddy duty! :-D
